The Reflections Contest is a cultural arts program sponsored by
the National P.T.A. Based on a given theme each year, it allows children
from Pre-K through high school to express themselves in one or more of
the four program categories: literature, visual arts, photography, and
music.
Each child has the opportunity to submit one or more entries in
any of these four categories by following specific rules and turning in
entries by a given deadline. Specific contest information is sent home
with our students and also announced during PTA meetings. It is very
important to remember that all entries must be created solely by the
student, without any adult alterations or additions.
The entries are evaluated on artistic merit, creativity, and
interpretation of the year's theme. In addition, entries are also judged
at several levels: school, district, state, and national. Those of the
highest merit of course, achieve this final level.
Nottingham
students enter yearly and we have had a number of talented winners each
year at different levels. Please encourage your child to participate in
this wonderful opportunity!
