Center,
situated in the newer wing of our building, is accessible throughout the
day to students, teachers, support staff, parents, and neighborhood
residents. It houses over 10,000 books, as well as audiovisual materials
and equipment, periodicals, and computer programs which support learning
and encourage reading for information and pleasure.
Students are taught to problem-solve in accessing electronic
information by using a structured approach called "The Big Six"
which teaches them to access resources and information through the
on-line catalog and the Internet. Book checkout is automated, and computers
and printers are available for research. Students are required to turn in
the book that is currently checked out to them before being allowed to
check out another.
A strong parent volunteer force supports Nottingham's goal to
provide knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly service. Please visit our
